- Responsible Investment
We recognise that the management of environmental and social responsibilities is subject to many factors, and take into account the particular circumstances, industries and locations in which the companies operate.
We've produced guidelines on responsible investment to explain how we evaluate the environmental and social policies of the companies in which we are (or might be) an investor.
As one of the largest institutional investors in the UK, it’s only fitting we should have a dedicated responsible investment team to focus on developing and implementing a professional approach to the field.
A reputation that opens doors
Our financial strength and professional reputation encourage companies’ management to consider our views, and take them into account where possible.
Our responsible investment team works closely with all the companies we invest in, promoting best practice standards. Companies are required to demonstrate that they manage their social and environmental impacts effectively. By holding frequent one-to-one meetings with company management we’re able to raise any concerns with them directly. We also publicise our concerns where appropriate – you’ll find examples of this in the documents section. We want to ensure that we communicate clearly with our customers, and the companies we invest in. With this in mind, please feel free to contact us with any comments or suggestions you may have.
